From sky-high rent to student debts to fines for taking too long to finish your degree, from study stress to loneliness: the life of a student is not always easy. ASVA student union is committed to representing all students in Amsterdam. Besides representation, ASVA also offers a number of benefits for members, such as free legal aid, cheap bicycles and renting out various kinds of equipment.

Fighting for you
ASVA student union is the union for all students in Amsterdam. Together with the national student union LSVB, and other student unions, we're working to defend the interests of students in the Netherlands. For example, ASVA is fighting hard for more affordable student housing. And together with other student unions, we're taking action against the proposed fines for taking too long to complete your degree.

Our helpdesk is always ready to answer your questions. And the legal aid office can review your rental contract. ASVA members have the change to buy cheap and legal bicycles from us.
